Use this checklist to gather what is already available without delaying contact while you search for material that may not be necessary.

Prepare these ten items

  1. The decision, claim or representation to be tested
  2. The intended use of the final output
  3. The documents and reports already available
  4. Known deadlines and decision dates
  5. Relevant jurisdictions
  6. Suspected weaknesses, disputes or contradictions
  7. Whether AI contributed to the material
  8. Who will rely on the result
  9. Whether legal counsel or another specialist is involved
  10. Known restrictions on data, confidentiality or distribution
