Aperture Research Works

For US importers, exporters, lenders and cross-border contracting teams

Trace the ownership you can evidence before accepting a cross-border counterparty.

You have a foreign business partner, incomplete owner details, unclear affiliates or a sanctions-screening hit that may be a namesake.

A name-only sanctions search can wrongly merge different people, while an apparently clean name search cannot establish every indirect ownership interest.

A real person scopes, researches, checks and signs off the evidence work. Technology assists; it does not approve findings.

The decision on your desk

Can the contracting entity and its disclosed ownership be understood well enough to refer a specific issue to compliance?

You need to enter a supply contract but the overseas counterparty’s disclosed parents and beneficial owners do not match the registry trail.

YOUR BENEFIT 01

Avoid confusing a similarly named listed party with your counterparty.

YOUR BENEFIT 02

Surface missing ownership links before the contract proceeds.

YOUR BENEFIT 03

Give compliance or counsel an evidence pack for a specific legal determination.

The actual work

What our people will examine for you.

Each line connects to a material question in your decision. We test what the record supports and what it does not, rather than producing a generic AI summary.

CHECK 01

Normalise legal identities, aliases, registration numbers and locations.

CHECK 02

Construct a dated, source-linked ownership and control chain where accessible.

CHECK 03

Reconcile claimed percentages, intermediate entities and beneficial ownership gaps.

CHECK 04

Conduct a dated public-list comparison and document match-quality limitations.

CHECK 05

Identify where OFAC aggregation rules or other sanctions analysis may need specialist counsel.

CHECK 06

Provide a concrete escalation dossier without declaring formal legal clearance.

Your deliverables

A completed dossier your team can act on.

We turn the collected evidence into named findings, identified gaps and next actions. A human reviewer remains accountable for the scope, interpretation and release.

  • Entity and ownership chart with dated sources
  • Ambiguity and missing-link register
  • Documented list-screening observations and identity-match notes
  • Percentage reconciliation where records support it
  • Escalation questions for sanctions counsel or compliance lead
  • Human-reviewed cross-border evidence memo

Questions that matter to your purchase

Is the $3,950 fee fixed?

It is the proposed standard fee for the defined scope, pending final written commercial approval. We confirm the actual facts, jurisdiction, records, permitted work and final terms in writing before accepting it. We never add unapproved work to the bill.

Can I use my own AI system instead?

You can use AI for a preliminary review. What you commission here is human-directed independent source work, documented contrary-evidence testing, dated attribution, reviewed calculations and a defensible evidence handoff. If your internal process can already do that adequately, there may be no reason to buy this service.

Can you investigate a confidential matter?

Start with a short non-sensitive outline. A human reviewer confirms conflict checks, lawful source access, privacy safeguards and an appropriate transfer method before we receive confidential files.

Can my team use the review repeatedly?

Yes, subject to each matter being accepted. Repeat matters may use a reusable written scope and simpler onboarding, where appropriate. Each matter retains its standard approved fee and separate acceptance; no automatic discount or subscription applies.
