Support is welcomed from inside and outside South Africa. Amounts are entered in ZAR, and the live conversion guide helps you decide what you are comfortable contributing.
Cancellation
Monthly support continues until cancelled. You may cancel through Payfast before the next billing date.
Privacy
Payment and contact details entered on Payfast are processed by Payfast. I do not receive or store your full card details.
Refunds
Contributions are voluntary and generally non-refundable once processed, except where required by law or where a payment was made in error.

What does a contribution support?
It helps with the time and practical costs of independent research, writing and publishing. It is voluntary support, not a purchase of an article, a subscription paywall or a commissioned Aperture assignment.
What happens after I choose an amount?
You continue to Payfast’s payment page. Review the amount, currency, recurring schedule where applicable and available payment method before confirming. Payfast handles the payment details; this page does not ask for your card credentials.
Can I choose once-off support instead?
Yes. The once-off option is separate from monthly support. Monthly support continues under the schedule confirmed through Payfast until cancelled. Check your Payfast confirmation and its cancellation instructions before the next charge.
Does support influence what you write?
No. Support does not buy favourable coverage, editorial influence, special access or ownership of my work. Independent judgement and evidence remain central.
Where can I ask about a payment?
Email info@apertureforensic.com with the date and relevant Payfast reference. Do not send full card details, passwords or sensitive credentials. For payment authorisation or recurring-payment control, follow Payfast’s own instructions.
